The type species (lectotype) of the genus Callithamnion is Callithamnion corymbosum (Smith) Lyngbye.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Aglaothamnion callophyllidicola (Yamada) Boo, I.K.Lee, Rueness & Yoshida.
