Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Planothidium vanheurckii (Grunow in Van Heurck) E.W.Thomas, Van de Vijver & Kociolek.
Type Information
locality not given [see below]; Lectotype: BR (coll. Van Heurck); slide V-10-C12 (Thomas et al. 2015: 340) Notes: slide V-10-C12 is selcted as lectotype. In the original text, Van Heurck mentions "Bruxelles, Jardin Botanique (Del.[ogne])' as the locality. This slide was made personally by Van Heurck, based most likely (although not conclusively) on the Delogne maaterial. The entire slide is designated (Thomas et al. (2015: 340).
