The type species (holotype) of the genus Schizoseris is Schizoseris laciniata Kylin.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Schizoseris subdichotoma (Segawa) Yamada.

Adjective (Latin), very little, very least (Stearn 1973).
