The type species (holotype) of the genus Myriogramme is Myriogramme livida (Hooker f. & Harvey) Kylin.

Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Nitospinosa pristoidea (Harvey) Womersley.

Type Information
Type locality: Swan Island, Tasmania, Australia; (Kylin 1924: 61) Holotype: Baudinet; LD; 30497 (Womersley 2003: 87) Notes: According to Womersley (2003: 87) M. serrulata (J. Agardh) Kylin appears to be only a sterile plant of N. pristoidea; the holotype sheet in LD, 30497, from Swan I. (prob. NE Tas.), Baudinet, was also labelled by J. Agardh “Nitoph. pristoidea Harv.?”
