Syntype localities: "Cette Chactophoracée nouvelle à été observée principalement parmi d'aultres algues du Bassin d'Arcnchon, venant de
la région d'Arès. Elle s'est retrouvée ensuite dans des envois d'algues diverses de Roscoff et de Binrritz" [Atlantic France]; (Dangeard 1967: 169)
