Syntype localities: "Collected from Yashima, Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture, in November 1980. Also found in seawater taken in Dokai Bay, Fukuoka Prefecture, in November 1980, and Atsumi Bay, Aichi Prefecture, in March 1981."; (Takano 1981: 35) Type: figs 27, 34 and 36: (Takano 1981)

Invalid in Takano (1981: 34, figs 1C, 26-28): lacking designation of type [INA]; two localities nominated. Type designated in Takano (1983: 32) "Iconotypus: figs. 27, 34 and 36.
