Description
Frustule heterovalvar. Valves elliptical, 19.0-60.5 µm long, 10.0-43.0 µm wide. Raphe valve concavem, with a straight raphe, narrow axial area, small round central area, and an arrowhead-shaped terminal area. Striae of raphe valve uniseriate, radiate, parallel in the central part of the valve, 15-20 in 10 µm, containing circular areolae. Valvocopula of raphe valve fimbriate. Araphid valve convex, with a narrow axial area. Striae of araphid valve alveolate, radiate, 15-20 in 10 µm, the alveolus opening internally by a foramen. Valvocopula again fimbriate
