Type locality: Menorca, Baleares [= Balearic Islands] (Woelkerling et al. 2005: 203).TRH A25-1470 (Woelkerling et al. 2005: 203). Notes: Type: not designated but based on specimens that Hauck (1883: pl. 4, fig. 2) called Lithophyllum expansum ß agariciforme (Woelkerling 1993: 96; Woelkerling 1998: 344; Woelkering et al. 2005: 203).
