Type locality: Wilson Creek, Del Norte, California, U.S.A (Hollenberg & Abbott 1968: 1235). Holotype: E.Y. Dawson; 18.vii.1965; Velety covering on limpet shell. US slides 1763, 1764 (Lindstrom, Hanic & Golden 2006: 49).
