Nomenclatural note
"The Peridinia previously described and figured by me as P. Steinii must, I think , be excluded from this species; for P. Stein ii f. brevis PAULSEN 1905 p. 4. fig. 3 a-c and f, I propose the name P. breve (not found in Danish waters), and the other form described there must bear the following name...Peridinium pyriforme."
