Type locality: Rhine [River], Roxheim, [in the Bad Kreuznach district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany]; (Schmidle 1900: 144)Sept 1899; Notes: Schmidle (1900: 144) states 'Dr. R. LAUTERBORN recently received an interesting plankton sample from the Old Rhine in Roxheim, which was collected in September 1899'.
Origin of Species Name
Adjective A (Latin), hastate, with equal more or less triangular basal lobes directed outwards (Stearn 1973).
