The type species (holotype) of the genus Judithia is Judithia delicatissima (R.E.Norris) D'Archino & Showe M.Lin.

Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Fulgeophyllis laingii (J.Agardh) D'Archino & Zuccarello.
