Distributional note
"According to the current available information, it is a mainly Mediterranean species, present in the south of Europe [from the Iberian Peninsula (Cirujano Bracamonte et al., 2013), southern France (Corillion, 1961) and Italy (Becker, 2019; Corillion and Guerlesquin, 1963) to Greece], and in North Africa, where it is relatively frequent in the three Maghreb countries (29 localities from 2 to 2090 m a.s.l.) (Muller et al., 2017). Disjunct areas are reported in Asia (Iran, Pakistan, West Siberia) (Cirujano et al., 2008; Corillion, 1957; Romanov et al., 2019)." Conservational note
"Critically endangered (CR) in the Balkans (Blazencic et al., 2006). Endangered in Greece (U. Raabe pers. comm.). Rare in Italy (Bazzichelli and Abdelahad, 2009), but common in Sardinia (Becker, 2019). In Spain, its status is Least Concern.
