General Environment
This is a marine species.
Habitat
Thalli grow directly on rock and jetty pilings, epiphytically on plants such as the brown alga Acrocarpia paniculata and the seagrass Amphibolis antarctica or epizoically on stalked tunicates; range from the low intertidal zones of some rough-water coasts to depths of 11 m in calmer localities (Kraft 1978: 551).
