Type Information
Type locality: Great Whernside, Yorkshire; (Hibberd 1970: 120) Holotype: 21 May 1967; in plankton of a shallow acid pool; BM; preparation no. 1919 (Hibberd 1970: 120) Notes: Kristiansen (in John et al., 2002) notes that this species is from England; planktonic from Yorkshire (Hibberd, 1970). According to Andersen et al. (2017: 600), strain CCAP 933/27 was the authentic strain used by Hibberd, and it was collected at three Tarns, Cumbria, England.
