Nomenclatural note
From Professor Giovanni Furnari: "Since generic compounds ending in -phycus are treated as masculine according to Article 62.2(c) of the ICBN (Vienna Code), the termination of the new species must be corrected to agree with the gender of the generic name... without change of author citation or date of publication (Article 32.7 of the Vienna Code)". The stem of the name (Menou) ending with a vowel, the adjectival ending 'menouanus' is hence mandatory (Recommendation 60C.1(c) of the Vienna Code). - (09 October 2006)
