Adjective (Latin), very small; minute (Stearn 1973).

General Environment
This is a marine species.

Habitat
Epiphytic on Pterocladia capillacea and other firm-surfaced algae (Sargassum bracteolosum, Plocamium angustum) on rough-water coasts (Womersley 1994: 31).
