General Environment
This is a marine species.

Description
Motile cell club-shaped, 23.8-38.8 microns (mean = 30.2 microns) in length, 10.0-15.0 microns (mean = 12.3 microns) in width; two heterodynamic flagella emerging from apical end of cell; chloroplasts yellow brown in color, 10-20 in number, disc-shaped, arranged peripherally, imbricated; tubular invagination located at posterior of the cell, 4-5 microns in length; no contractile vacuole present; no eyespot present. Non-motile cell sessile, embedded in mucilaginous matrix, more or less spherical, 15.0-22.5 microns (mean = 18.4 microns) in diameter; chloroplats 10-20 in number, arranged almost radially; tubular invagination also present. Marine flagellate.
