Type Information
Holotype locality: Mokulë’ia, Oahu, Hawaiian Islands; (Huisman, Sherwood & Abbott 2003: 981) Holotype: Maya LeGrande; 5 May 2002; on Liagora valida Harvey from shallow reef flat; IA; 28754 (Huisman, Sherwood & Abbott 2003: 981) Notes: The sheet has four specimens of L. valida, each bearing numerous specimens of P. liagoraciphila. Following Article 8.2 (ICBN, Greuter et al. 2000), the holotype can be a single gathering of many small specimens. The holotype also includes a slide preparation made from the above, from which several specimens are illustrated in Figure 2, c, g-r of original paper.
