Taxonomic notes
Wynne & Heine (1992: 70) cite an abstract by G. Hansen proposing that Euthora be reinstated as a genus distinct from Callophyllis on ther basis of the uniaxial organisation and monoecious conditon of Euthora in contrast to the multiaxial organisation and dioecious condition of Callophyllis. See Hooper & South (1974). - (11 May 2006) - G.M. Guiry
At INA it appears Euthora cristata (Linnaeus ex Turner) J. Agardh 1847, with Basionym Fucus cristatus Linnaeus ex Turner 1808 (nom. illeg. at AlgaeBase). - (30 March 2025) - Salvador Valenzuela Miranda
