Type locality: leads and sea holes at Hooper Inlet and Richard's Bay in the vicinity of Igloolik Island (69°23'N, 81°45'W); (Daugbjerg & Moestrup 1993: 4) Holotype: fig. 11: June 1989; salinity: c. 33 parts per thousand; temperature: c. -1.5°C; (Daugbjerg & Moestrup 1993: 4) Notes: Northern Foxe Basin, Canada.
