General Environment
This is a freshwater species.
Description
Valves linear-clavate, with acute poles. Length 16-23 mm. Breadth 3 mm. Raphe straight, with slightly dilated external proximal ends. Axial area narrow, widening towards centre. Central area barely distinguished, containing a stigma positioned close to the external proximal raphe ends. Striae parallel, radiate at the footpole, 10-12 in 10 mm in centre of valve.
