Request PDFDescription: Cell surrounded by a globular, thick-walled and iron-encrusted lorica, placed on Sphagnum leaves, or inside the water-cells of Sphagnum. The lorica is perforated by numerous openings through which rhizopodia extend. The protoplast has parietal chloroplasts and 1-2 contractile vacuoles. Reproduction and stomatocysts unknown. In freshwater, attached to Sphagnum; Czechoslovakia and Belgium.
