Request PDFDescription: Cells solitary, epiphytic. The cell has a thick wall with several tubular outgrowths, ("discharge tubes"), one chloroplast, and two chrysolaminaran vacuoles. Reproduction by successive production of aplanospores emitted through corresponding successive discharge tubes; swarmers and stomatocysts not observed. Marine epiphyte found in Brittany.
