Currently accepted name for the type species: Distigma grassei (Holland) Bourrelly
Description: Small (10 _m), colorless, osmotrophic cell; like a tiny Distigma but said to have a "leucostigma". Considered synonymous with Distigma by Bourrelly (1970) and Starmach (1983); kept separate by Huber-Pestalozzi (1955) and Leedale (1967), probably mistakenly.
