Description: Unicellular, large (170-325 long) biconic, biflagellate, heterodynamic cells with cell wall composed of cellulosic plates. Plate formula : Po, 2', 1a, 6"', 6c, 9s, 6"', 2"". The cingulum starts midventrally in the upper third of total cell length, descending in a loop to the right, markedly displaced. The sulcus extends slightly into the episome and fades away half way to the antapex. Chloroplasts numerous yellow-brown discs; nucleus small centrally located; two large pusules present. Cyst formation and sexual reproduction so far not reported.
