Description: Cells solitary, ellipsoidal, spherical, uninucleate, with a smooth cell wall. Chloroplast parietal with pyrenoids. Reproduction occurs by formation of aplanospores and zoospores. Zoospores walled, with two flagella of unequal length; one flagellum is half the length of the other. Basl bodies of zoospores are displaced in CW orientation.
