Description: Epiphytic monolayer of prostrate branched filaments (diam. 4-4.5 µm) without erect portion. Reproductive structures subhemiglobose unilocular sporangia. Resembles a Myrionema without erect filaments. Only known from type collection, epiphytic on Porphyra. Status and systematic position of this genus are uncertain (Papenfuss 1964). Endemic to South Georgia.
