Type: Herbarium of the Department of Plant Systematics and Geography at Warsaw University; Permanently preserved material of strain CCAC 0093 (Kosmala et al. 2007: 180) Notes: Culture from which type described deposited in the Culture Collection of Algae at the University of Cologne (CCAC). "Fig. 1l shows an illustration of the type". Fig. 1l is cited in legend but on fig. 1 numbers, not letters, are used. Presumably fig. 1l = fig. 1:12. See Kim et al. (2013: 88) re epitype.
