This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Urospora neglecta (Kornmann) Lokhorst & Trask.

Notes: Arising in cultures as gametophyte of Codiolum gregarium Braun; also growing mixed with H. penicilliformis in nature at Helgoland (INA).
