CAS "Diatom Collection California Academy of Sciences 222065" (Kociolek & Thomas 2010: 204). Notes: "Figure 43 represents the holotype."

Named "in honor of our colleague and friend, Dr. Elisabeth Fourtanier, of the Diatom Collection, California Academy of Sciences (San Francisco)."
