Taxonomic note
Delnatte & Wynne (2016) note "Grateloupia caudata was described by Kützing (1867, pl. 23, fig. d) based on a specimen from Martinique collected by Bélanger. De Toni (1905) listed it as a poorly known species. The species was not listed by Taylor (1960). - (20 October 2016) - M.D. Guiry
