Type locality: Heron Island (23.4420°S, 151.9140°E), GBR, Australia, South Pacific Ocean; (Kretzschmar et al. 2017: 289) Holotype: Senckenberg am Meer, German Centre for Marine Biodiversity Research, Centre of Excellence for Dinophyte Taxonomy; SEM stub CEDiT2016H58 (strain HG7) (Kretzschmar et al. 2017: 289, fig. 5a) Notes: Isotype: lugol-fixed subsample of strain HG7: CEDiT2016I59. Molecular diagnosis: strain HG7 SSU (KU558932) and LSU (KU558928).
