Type locality: Russia, Kola Peninsula, Murmansk province, Apatity District, vicinity of the Apatity town (67°32'38.4"N, 33°30'14"E); (Shalygin & al. 2017: 772) Holotype: from cold, small, spring-fed, unpolluted, flowing stream in secondary, young forest with coniferous and deciduous trees, below the water surface on the mosses and stones (-10 cm), pH 8.4; Monte L. Bean Museum, Provo, Utah, USA; BRY37764 (Shalygin & al. 2017: 772) Notes: Isotypes: KPABG(C): 3804, Herbarium of the PABGI under Rivularia sp., Kirovsk-6, Russia; BRY37765, BRY37766, BRY37767, Monte L.
