Type locality: Sail Rock, Kenting National Park, southern Taiwan (21º55'N; 120º49.44'E); (Lin et al. 2008: 202) Holotype (female): H.-Y. Liang; 15 January 2006; Attached to rocky reefs at 1-2 m deep or epiphytic on G. ramosissima intertidally; NTOU; Jan-15-06-SR-taiwanensis-1 (Lin et al. 2008: 199, 202) Notes: Isotypes in NTOU, no. Jan-15-06-SR-taiwanensis-2 to no. Jan-15-06-SR-taiwanensis-25. Female, male and tetrasporic specimens collected by S.L. Liu and H.Y. Liang on 15 January 2006.
