Type locality: Xisha Island, Guandong Province, China. (Coppejans, Leliaert & De Clerck 2000: 60). Holotype: QD 76-1276 (Yoshida 1998: 307). Notes: AST 76-1276, Parcel I., South China Sea (Santiañez et al., 2018). T.: AST 76-1276, on dead coral fragments and coarse seaweeds from lower intertidal zone to 0.5 m deep, Quanfudao, Xisha Islands, 24.iii.1976, leg. Tseng & Lu (INA).
