Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Cystophora torulosa (R.Brown ex Turner) J.Agardh.
Type locality: "In Kent's Islands, near New Holland. Mr. Brown." [Kent Group Islands, Bass Strait, Australia]; (Turner 1809-1811: 52) Holotype: R. Brown; BM; (Womersley 1987: 384) Notes: Womersley (1987: 384) notes that there are isotypes at BM and E.
