Type locality: Taroona, Tasmania (Womersley & Lewis 1994: 202). Holotype: Sanderson; 24 November 1991; low eulittoral. AD A61532 (Womersley & Lewis 1994: 202). Notes: Womersley (1994: 202) notes that there is an isotype in AD.
