Type locality: Flinders, Westernport Bay, Victoria , Australia (Womersley 1998: 230). Holotype: Kraft & Ricker; 9 May 1978; on Laurencia filiformis f. heteroclada, 1-2 m deep on jetty piles. MELU K6666 (Womersley 1998: 230). Notes: Isotypes in MELU, AD and UC.
