Type locality: Berlin (Silva 1996-to date). Lectotype: Permanent slide taken from strin CCAC 0064 (epitype) (Hoef-Emden & Melkonian 2003: 396). Notes: Lectotype: Ehrenberg 1834, BHUPM: drawing sheet no. 367: cell in the middle of the top row in the group of cells to the left; Epitype: Slide of strain CCAC 0064 and deposited at the CCAC under the designation CRYP.E.005 (designated by Hoef-Emden & Melkonian (2003: 396).
