General environment
This is a marine species.

Habitat
A common epiphyte on Posidonia, less frequently found on Amphibolis (Womersley 1978: 217).

Type information
Type locality: Western Australia (Silva, Basson & Moe 1996: 401). (Womersley 1998: 389). Notes: Womersley (1998: 389) notes that no specimen is located in MEL and that there are isotypes located in TCD and LD (20753).
