Habitat note
In phytoplankton community dominated by Chlorella sp., Dictyosphaerium subsolitarium, Monoraphidium minutum, M. contortum, Scenedesmus subspicatus, S. granulatus, Aphanothece saxicola, Merismopedia tenuissima and Snowella lacustris (Valadez et al. 2010). Swamps, ponds and puddles; recorded as indicator of moderately to strongly polluted water (Valadez et al., citing various authors). - (06 January 2011) - G.M. Guiry
