This is a marine species.

Type information
Type locality: Elliston Bay, South Australia (Silva, Basson & Moe 1996: 430). Holotype: Shepherd; 21 October 1970; on Kallymenia cribrosa, 7 m deep in bay. AD A37361 (Womersley 1998: 310). Notes: Womersley (1998: 310) notes that there are also isotypes distributed in “Marine Algae of southern Australia” No. 397.
