Type locality: Port Jackson, New South Wales, Australia (Silva & al. 1996: 458). Lectotype: Charles Moore; LD herb. alg. Agardh 31545 ( Harvey, Alg. Aust. Exsicc. 277L) (Womersley 2003: 50). Notes: This type locality was first recorded by Womersley & Shepley (1982: 333).
According to Womersley (2003: 48), Delesseria serrulata Harvey 1858: pl. 59 [not D. serrulata Harvey 1857: 331 from Japan] is a synonym of Hypoglossum harveyanum (J. Agardh) Womersley & Shepley. - (21 Jan 2009) - Wendy Guiry
