This name is of an entity that is currently accepted taxonomically.
Type locality: Western Australia; (Silva & al. 1996: 466) Type: Preiss 2618; MEL; 503820 (Womersley 2003: 167) Notes: Type: fragment?, 5-6 cm high, tetrasporangial (Womersley, 2003).
This is a marine species.
Essentially a deep water (or shaded) species on rough-water coasts (Womersley 2003: 167).
