Distributional notes
"Ribera et al. (1992), in the note 9 (probably erroneously inserted), on the basis of the paper by Riouall (1985) stated that this species have been accidentally introduced from Japan into the Thau Lagoon (France). However, in Riouall's (1985) paper the species is not cited. According to Verlaque (2001) it was never recorded from Thau Lagoon." (Cormaci et al. 2012: 424). - (27 Aug 2015) - M.D. Guiry
