The type species (holotype) of the genus Spatoglossum is Spatoglossum solieri (Chauvin ex Montagne) Kützing.
Status of name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Dictyopteris pacifica (Yendo) I.K.Hwang, H.-S.Kim & W.J.Lee
Type locality: Mera, Chiba Prefecture, Japan (Yoshida 1991: 5). Lectotype: J. Nikai no. 1677; iii.1904; TI herb Yendo (Yoshida 1998: 232). Notes: LT fide Yoshida, Univ. Mus. Univ. Tokyo, Mater. Rep. 24. 5, pl. 22. 1991. Syntypes from Provs. Boshu, Sagami, and Awa.
