Adjective A (Latin), acute, pointed; i.e. narrowing gradually and making an angle of less than 90° (Stearn 1973).

Type locality: Isolated both from the River Crouch [Essex, England] and the Conway [Wales] tanks, but apparently not common. (Butcher 1952: 188).
