Holotype locality: New River Estuary, U.S. Government Marine Base Camp Lejeune, Onslow County, north Carolina, between Paradise Point and Mumford Point at 34º25'12"N, 77º14'24"W (Glasgow, Burkholder, Morton & Springer 2001: 238). Holotype: H.B. Glasgow & J.M. Burkholder; 23 July 1995; (Glasgow, Burkholder, Morton & Springer 2001: 238). Notes: Holotype: Fig. 1, SEM 93096-1 (CAAE); the parent material is H.B. Glasgow and J.M. Burkholder's sample NER092395 (CAAE). Isotype: Fig. 22, SEM93096-16.
