Habitat notes
Epiphytic on Pterosiphonia ardreana, Halopithys incurva and Ahnfeltia plicata, on sand covered rocks in the lower intertidal; lower intertidal (Diaz Tapia & Bárbara 2011). - (11 April 2011) - G.M. Guiry
epilithic on sandy or silty bedrock at extreme low water, and growing on mobile substrata such as maerl and pebbles from 3-10 m depth, at sites with very slight to moderate wave exposure (Maggs & Hommersand, 1993). - (25 June 2014) - G.M. Guiry
